Local bank holiday for the anniversary of Isra and Miraj and national holidays
Al-Issa: Local banks will suspend their work on Sunday, February 19, on the occasion of the Isra’ and Mi’raj anniversary
Sheikha Al-Essa, Director of Public Relations and Institutional Communication at the Kuwait Banking Association, said that local banks will suspend their work on Sunday, corresponding to February 19, 2023, as a day of rest, and consider Saturday, corresponding to February 18, 2023, an official holiday, provided that banks begin their work on Monday, corresponding to February 20, 2022. This is on the occasion of the anniversary of the Isra’ and Mi’raj of the Hijri year 1444 AH.
Al-Issa added in a press statement that on the occasion of the approaching National Day and Liberation Day for the Gregorian year 2023, banks will suspend their work on Sunday and Monday corresponding to February 26, 2023 and February 27, 2023, with Saturday and Sunday corresponding to February 25, 2023 and February 26, 2023 being considered as official holidays, and Monday corresponding to Monday. February 27, 2023 is a day of rest, provided that official working hours will resume on Tuesday, corresponding to February 28, 2023, based on the circular issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait in this regard.
She indicated that the Kuwait Banking Association seizes this occasion to extend its best congratulations and blessings to His Highness, the Emir of the country, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve him, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, may they be preserved.
